Well, I doubt that there are too many people that still remember watching the first episode of CBS’ drama As The World Turns 54 years ago, or that anybody has seen the 13,000 episodes the show has generated over the years, but one thing is clear: the show has its fair share of fans who will be disappointed to hear that CBS has decided it was time to pull down the curtains on it and, yes it’s official: As The World Turns has been canceled!

The final episode of As The World Turns will air on September 17, 2010. “It’s been a job and a home and friendships for 50 years,” longtime star Don Hastings told the AP at the final taping Wednesday. “I don’t think it’s hit me yet.”

Unfortunately, more and more daytime dramas are starting to get canceled by televisions due to dropping ratings, mostly based on the fact that women are no longer spending time at home, but started working in a society that offers equal professional chances for both women and men.

After its debut on April 2, 1956, As the World Turns was the most-watched drama for 20 years and it still managed to draw 2.5 million viewers per episode. However, it appears that was not enough for CBS and the show will be canceled.

The king of pop and the violent prince of RNB – apparently, these two characters (I’m talking about Michael Jackson and Chris Brown) have nothing in common. But the BET Awards 2010 prove us wrong, since Chris Brown tried to wash off some of his sins paying an amazing tribute to Michael Jackson.

Introduced by Jermaine Jackson, Chris Brown started to perform on some of Jacko’s best known hits, including Billie Jean. He was then supposed to perform Man in the Mirror, but he was so overcome by emotion that he was barely able to hold off his tears!

Of course, this event sparked a new debate: were Chris Brown’s tears real or just fake, in order to fully prove the world that he has changed and is no longer the violent star everybody started to hate a while now.

Eldra Patrick “El” DeBarge, or simply El DeBarge, best known for his single “Who’s Johnny” has made a comeback during the BET Awards 2010 and an amazing one, to be honest! The singer had an astonishing performance presenting to the public hits from his upcoming album, Second Chance – one that will certainly be granted!

During the BET Awards, El DeBarge sang All This Love, Time Will Reveal and Rhythm Of The Night plus the title track from the upcoming album, Second Chance. Smoother than ever and back into “the game” 15 years after his last album, DeBarge has shown to the entire world that solid music still exists and it not all lost.

Zynga, the leading social games developer on Facebook, has launched this week a new and really promising product: FrontierVille, a social game that mixes elements from other Zynga games and blends them into a really solid simulation that already, just four days after it’s launch, managed to draw in almost a million players!

Well, Eminem certainly has a few extra themes for songs on his next album, since the hip hopper’s latest album Recovery has been leaked early on torrents. That’s right, the internet is being flooded with torrents containing all the tracks from the latest studio album from Eminem, Recovery.

For the moment, we have no information regarding this leak and if it’s genuine or not, but the comments we’ve seen on open tracker sites tend to prove that indeed Eminem’s Recovery torrent has been leaked. Well, at least he’s getting some early publicity for his song, that’s for certain! And it’s a two weeks advance, since the album wasn’t expected to be released until June 22, 2010

Who doesn’t love Hayley Williams? Even if you are not a fan of Paramore, you would surely love her with her good looks, red hair, and a rocker physique. This one of the major reasons why many men love the band. Without Hayley Williams, maybe they would lose half of the fans that they have right now.

But just like other artists and celebs, Hayley is now faced with a controversy/scandal which is now one of the hottest issues in her career to date. Her topless picture is now flourishing all over the Internet but first started at Twitter.

Hayley said that her phone and Twitter account got hacked. Too bad for Hayley but lucky for her more than 600,000 fans following her every tweet. After the topless Hayley pic was posted, the “real” Hayley then tweeted this:

“Well … my night just changed drastically. Got hacked.”

Poor Hayley. Although Paramore fans are now hating the hacker, there are still many who are feasting their eyes on the said topless pic. I’m not a fan of Paramore but I listen to their music. Plus I’m a woman so I’m thinking twice whether I should post her uncensored picture at this blog.
