How to Uninstall Windows Vista?

vistaWindows Vista never managed to be as popular as Microsoft might have expected and now, with the release of Windows 7, people might wish to uninstall Windows Vista and get ready for the next chapter of their lives (I will talk a bit about that in a future post, too!).

So, for those who are wondering how to uninstall Windows Vista (safe and sound) without calling somebody over, I have a little step by step (and really easy) tutorial for you, so check it out below:

1. First thing you should do whenever you make important changes, is to BACK-UP your important data. You will LOSE all data that is stored on the same disk partition as Windows Vista!!!
2. Next, you must install a new operating system. In order to do so, insert the installation disc of that OS into your disc drive and reboot the computer. Follow the instructions there and install the OS (we are doing this because, basically, Windows Vista can’t be simply uninstalled like a regular program) on a new partition.
3. Insert the Windows Vista disc and reboot the computer once again.
4. When the computer boots from the disc, select the option to format your main partition (where Windows Vista is installed). Again, have in mind that this will ERASE ALL DATA on that partition! Wait until the process is completed and reboot the system again after you have removed the disc from your disc drive.
5. Enjoy your new system because Windows Vista has been uninstalled!
