Phil Pagano Died – Accident or Suicide?

Phil Pagano, the executive director of Metra, was found dead this morning. He was hit by a train at the McHenry County. Apparently, this does not seem like an accident. According to the County Sheriff of McHenry, Phil Pagano actually wrote a letter telling about his intentions. Keith Nygren also said that the letter was written just a few hours before Phil Pagano headed to the track that is just near the Crystal Lake where he was found dead.

Just a few hours before Phil Pagano committed suicide, the state attorney of Cook County announced the result of the criminal investigation regarding Phil Pagano’s finances.

The Chicago Tribune also said that one source told them about the wallet of Phil Pagano, which was found on the body of the entrepreneur. It was said that Phil Pagano included a copy of procedure that would teach the how to handle Metra’s service disruption by the time that he successfully committed suicide.

For 20 years, Phil Pagano was the chief of Metra. This caters a suburban rail service in the state of Chicago. For the past few weeks, there had been rumors that Phil Pagano gave himself a bonus worth $56,000 which was not approved by the company.
