Those expecting a 12 round show the other day when Ricky Hatton fought Manny Pacquiao were certainly be disappointed as Pacman The Destroyer knocked out Hatton in the second round after dominating the match and turning Ricky Hatton into his boxing bag.
The match started at a relatively low pace, with lots of clinches and some teasing from Ricky Hatton, but Manny Pacquiao quickly recovered and even knocked down Hatton when there were about 45 seconds left from the round.
The second round started at high pace and Pacquiao proved his boxing skills by dominating his opponent and hitting him like an automated fire gun and eventually a well placed left hand knocks out Hatton who was completely unready for such an intense boxing match and suffered his second defeat of his career, after 2.59 minutes in the second round.
The fight confirmed that Manny Pacquiao is the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world, with 49 wins in 54 fights and just 3 defeats. However, the boxer remained modest and said: “I’m just a fighter, doing my job, training and keeping at 100%.” Congrats Manny!
