Latest Lil Wayne news have started to flood the internet claiming that rapper Lil Wayne was shot at the airport and is now hospitalized. I did my best to track down the source of these rumors, but since there are virtually tons of websites posting it (without links to the source, of course), it is impossible to do so.

So what do the reports say about Lil Wayne who got shot at the airport? Well, it appears that the rapper has been shot in the chest with a .44 caliber gun and is now being hospitalized, while some other sources claim that he has lost his life. This is terrible, really terrible, especially since right now it seems that these news are not at all correct!

Apparently, the entire hysteria started during a concert Lil Wayne had last night at the Susquehanna Bank Center in New Jersey during the America’s Most Wanted Tour. It was rapper Drake who fell on the stage because of some old knee injury, but nobody was actually hurt. However, strangely, this relatively unimpressive event was misunderstood by some who started reporting that it was actually Lil Wayne who was hurt. From this point to making up the news that the Lollipop rapper was shot and is being hospitalized, there was just one small step. Unfortunately.

So, now, I think it’s safe for all of us to say that Lil Wayne was not shot and is safe and sound, probably laughing at all the news announcing his accident and even his death!
