Swine Flu Scares People of Epidemic, Check if You Have the Symptoms!
- With 3 comments
A scary swine flu pandemic seems to be hitting Mexico nowadays, with 61 people dead already after they got the swine flu and the government closing museums and schools to prevent the disease from spreading and becoming a full scale epidemic. Let’s find out which are the swine flu symptoms, what is it actually and how dangerous it is for humams.
“We’re dealing with a new flu virus that constitutes a respiratory epidemic that so far is controllable,” Mexico’s health minister, José Ángel Córdova, said to reporters. However, it is clear that this swine flu is very dangerous since it did 61 victims and 1,000 more (at least) are infected.
So what is swine flu? It is similar to the regular, seasonal influenza, which means that once infected, you will have the following symptoms: lethargy, fever, coughing and lack of appetite. Rarely other symptoms of the swine flu include sore throat, runny nose and nausea.
The swine flu, according to the CDC, is caused by influenza viruses that can be transmitted directly from humans to pigs and vice-versa, but you should only worry if you have living pigs nearby (and, for now, live in Mexico). However, the swine flu and the influenza viruses won’t be transmitted to you if you eat pork meat.
Even more, if you are living in the United States, it seems that you should not worry about catching the swine flu since the Mexican government assures the population that it’s not a case of a swine flu epidemic and everybody should keep calm. Even if contacted, the flu can be treated. So the best thing to do if you start showing any of the symptoms presented above, is to contact your personal doctor and he will know what to give you.

I think they should seriously think about implementing some more effective ways to contain this from the public.
I read that Mexico may be thinking of a new strategy for containment.

I am sure they will find something, and maybe it is indeed not as bad as it first looks like…

I think the government is trying to hide something becuase they never tell the public whats really going on. I say close all the borders everywhere and don’t let anyone in or out of mexico and all infected areas should be heavily quarentined and everyone should just watch out for it, like not touching the railings in public areas ,use and hand sanitizer constantly and limit human to human contact when its not needed, if you don’t have the virus don’t i reapeat don’t take the flu shot becaue several hundreds of people who took it …soon after have severe symptoms of the swine flu.
