You probably still remember about the car accident Michael Phelps was involved in a couple of days ago. Back then, it was reported that Michael Phelps did not consume any alcoholic drinks before the crash and everything was OK. Now things have changed a little bit.

New reports suggest that Michael Phelps admitted that he drank one beer before driving – and even though it doesn’t seem nice at all, it seems that is was, in the end, no problem, especially because it was not Michael Phelps who was responsible for the accident. However, it is sad to hear about such a great sportsman having such problems in his personal life.

Because the beer wasn’t the only problem Phelps dealt with: he was also driving with an invalid drivers license: one released in Michigan (but already expired) even though the swimming champion lives in Maryland.

According to The New York Daily, Phelps was not given any special treatment, though:

“We had our very best eyes on the situation, and we’re very well aware of his history and his notoriety,” said a police rep. “We wanted to make sure that everything was done completely by the book.”

However, it is not likely for Michael Phelps to have any big problems after this car acccident.
