Check Out the Pink Lake: Lake Retba in Senegal

If you had no reasons to visit Senegal, I am ready to give you one: Lake Retba. This is a lake with extremely salted water where a strange bacteria lives, one that eats the salt to transform it in energy and… pink color.

That’s right! Lake Retba is a pink lake and people can float on its surface because of the high salt levels in the water (something similar to the Dead Sea). The view is spectacular since it all looks like a strawberry milkshake and not like some very salty water. Check out the pink Lake Retba in the images below:
