BlazBlue Central Fiction Tier List

Nearly a decade after its release, BlazBlue: Central Fiction is still pulling new players in, and that alone tells you something. But no matter if you’re a new player or one of the veterans, knowing the updated Tier List is extremely helpful and that is exactly what I am sharing today.

As with any tier list, if you enjoy using a character, don’t let their placement here stop you – after all, you can make almost any character work well if you try.

With these in mind, let’s jump right into the updated tier list!

BlazBlue Central Fiction S-Tier Characters

The S-Tier characters are incredibly strong, have great defenses, and have great combos that deal fast, and easily with opponents.

They are the greatest characters to pick up when you first get into the game.

  • Carl Clover
  • Izanami
  • Lambda-11
  • Litchi Faye Ling
  • Nine the Phantom
  • Ragna the Bloodedge
  • Taokaka

Now let’s get a bit more in-depth and see why the characters above are the absolute best!

Carl Clover

Carl is one of the most unique fighters in the roster, controlling Nirvana, an autonomous pupper.

This means that he can generate pressure from multiple angles at the same time, his damage output is among the highest in the game, and opponents simply cannot focus on both threats simultaneously.

He has a higher execution ceiling than most characters here, but once it clicks, he’s devastatingly effective.

Izanami

Izanami brings an oppressive, controlling style to the table. Her neutral game is exceptional, her zoning tools make it hard for opponents to approach safely, and she applies pressure in ways that feel very hard to deal with if you don’t know what’s coming.

Lambda-11

Lambda plays a strong zoning game built around her swords and projectile tools. She keeps opponents at a distance, controls space well, and deals solid damage when she lands her sequences.

Litchi Faye Ling

Litchi is one of the more technical characters in this tier, but the reward matches the effort.

Her staff-based moveset allows for excellent pressure, strong mixup options, and creative combo routes that keep opponents guessing.

Nine the Phantom

Nine’s spell system is unlike anything else in the game. She can set up her spells in sequences that lead into massive damage, and her toolkit feels almost unfair once you understand how it works.

She requires some investment to learn, but her damage ceiling is absurd and she remains one of the most feared characters in competitive play.

Ragna the Bloodedge

The main protagonist is one of the strongest picks in the game. Ragna combines high damage output, a versatile moveset, and a life-drain mechanic that keeps him in fights longer than most characters have any right to be.

Taokaka

Taokaka is a lightning-fast rushdown character whose erratic movement style makes her genuinely difficult to read.

She excels at closing distance and maintaining offense, and her speed alone creates problems for opponents who aren’t prepared for it.

Now, we’re going to fly through the rest of the characters, without the additional details to keep this article shorter.

BlazBlue Centralfiction A-Tier Characters

The A-Tier characters can be comparable to their S-Tier counterparts when it comes to combos, and how easily you can deal with your opponents.

Unfortunately, they don’t have the same level of power to deal with those opponents.

  • Azrael
  • Bang Shishigami
  • Bullet
  • Izayoi
  • Kokonoe
  • Noel Vermillion
  • Susanoo
  • Valkenhayn R. Hellsing

The D-Tier characters are the weakest in the game.

They need a really good player to make use of everything their kit has to offer.
