Eugen Playstyle & Build Guide in GBF Relink
Eugen is a ranged DPS unit that specializes in dealing insanely high damage from a distance and hitting enemy weakpoints easily. Alongside Cagliostro and Id, Eugen is one of the strongest characters based on our Granblue Fantasy Relink tier list.
His best build involves stacking damage buffs to increase your DPS as much as possible. In terms of rotation, focus on spamming charged attacks and grenades while occasionally using skills for extra damage.

Best Eugen Weapon
Overall, the best Eugen weapon is Draconic Fire, which is his Terminus weapon. However, that’s only available as a rare drop in the end-game, so let’s go through some alternatives that are easier to acquire.
Fro the early game, I’d start with the Clarion. It offers one of the highest attack values available at that stage and a solid boost to weak point damage, which fits naturally into Eugen’s sniper-focused playstyle.
Once you’re in the mid-game, switch to the Leviathan Muzzle. As a Stinger weapon, the Crit Rate bonus it grants will increase your DPS more than any other option at that point.

Best Eugen Skills
As for active abilities, here are the best Eugen skills in GBF Relink:
- Detonator: Switch to Sniper mode and deal high damage on the next shot.
- Intercept: Dodge back and shoot forward. This is helpful to have to dodge certain attacks and reposition when needed.
- Sumrak: Switch to Sniper mode and shoot a continuous piercing beam that deal very high damage.
- Armor-Piercing Round: AoE DPS skill with a quick cast time
Overall, Eugen’s skills focus on increasing his DPS whille Intercept also allows him to dodge attacks and reposition when necessary.
Your main goal is to almost always be on Sniper Mode, since that’s when you’ll deal the most damage. Grenade spamming is also highly-effective and recommended in between attacks and skills.

Best Eugen Sigils
As for traits, Eugen’s build is fairly straightforward in the sense that you just want to focus on increasing damage as much as possible. Based on that, here are the best sigils for Eugen:
- Damage Cap: Increases overall Damage cap
- Catastrophe: Increases Attack and damage cap when HP is below a certain threshold.
- Critical Hit Rate: Increases Critical Hit Rate
- Charged Attack Damage: Increases charged attack damage
- Suppplementary Damage: Increases chance to trigger Supplementary damage
- Concentrated Fire: Increases ranged attack damage
- Overdrive Assassin: Increases damage while in Ovedrive
- Autorevive: Automatically revives you upon death
Mix and match these sigils based on what you have available, and always prioritize damage and damage cap increases.
For multiplayer specifically, if you have a Cagliostro in the party, her crit buff means you can afford to invest slightly less in Critical Hit Rate on your own sigils and redirect those slots toward more damage or damage cap options.
Mastery Priorities
When working through Eugen’s Mastery board, prioritize nodes that increase Quick Charge, Critical Hit Rate, and Attack.
Quick Charge is the most impactful early on because it directly speeds up how fast you can fire charged shots, which keeps your damage flowing more consistently. For Over Mastery bonuses, target Attack and Critical Hit Rate.

Team Synergy
Eugen works well in almost any party, but a few compositions are worth knowing about. Cagliostro is arguably his best teammate, as I’ve mentioned before.
For solo play with AI companions, Eugen is actually one of the stronger AI-controlled ranged characters in the game, meaning he performs well even when you’re playing as someone else with him in the party.
