If you’re standing in front of a massive cylindrical tower in a Helldivers 2 Sabotage Supply Base mission, shooting at it and watching your bullets bounce off like it’s made of pure democracy, you’re not alone.

How to Destroy Fuel Silos in Helldivers 2
The only way to destroy fuel Silos and progress the mission in Helldivers 2 is by using the Hellbomb stratagem. This is exclusive to this mission and is automatically unlocked once you get close to the objective marker.
You’re looking for large cylindrical towers with red, circular lights dotting their exterior. These are Automaton fuel reserves, and they are part of the Sabotage Supply Base missions, which are Automaton (bot) faction missions exclusively.

To access them, you need to select planets under Automaton control, shown as red areas on the galactic map.
Once you get close to a silo, you’ll receive the option to call in a Hellbomb. Call it in as close to the silo as possible for best results.
Here’s the part most players skip, and it’s a bad idea: enemies will be around trying to protect it, including shooting the Hellbomb after it lands.
So before you touch that terminal, clear as many bots from the area as you can. I like to drop turret stratagems around the silo first to hold the line while I deal with the bomb. It makes the whole process much smoother.
The good news: you can call in multiple Hellbombs if one gets destroyed, but it’s always good to prepare and try to get it right on your first try.

Arming and Detonating the Hellbomb
After calling in the Hellbomb and landing near the silo, approach the terminal on the device and input the directional code shown on the screen, a sequence of up, down, left, and right arrows.
Once you enter the code correctly, the bomb arms itself and begins its countdown. Step back and get a safe distance away before it blows (it takes around 15 seconds).
For this mission, you’ll need to complete this process twice and destroy two silos total.
