Felix Baumgartner will always be remembered as the fearless Austrian skydiver who made history in 2012 when he jumped from the edge of space – around 39 kilometers (24 miles) above Earth – and reached a top speed of 1,357.64 km/h (843.6 mph), becoming the first person to break the sound barrier in freefall.
He was also known for his high-profile relationships, having previously dated German Playmate of the Century Gitta Saxx and former beauty queen Nicole Öttl.
However, the woman who stayed by his side the longest was Romanian TV personality Mihaela Rădulescu.
The couple began dating in 2014 after meeting during an interview and remained together for more than a decade. Throughout the years, they shared a passion for travel, adventure, and extreme sports, frequently posting glimpses of their life together on social media.
Sadly, their story came to a tragic end in July 2025, when Felix Baumgartner died in a paragliding accident while on vacation in Porto Sant’Elpidio, Italy. He was 56 years old.

Mihaela has also worked as a model, including representing the luxury lingerie brand I.D. Sarrieri, and has remained one of Romania’s most recognizable media personalities for decades.
She is also known as Mihaela Schwartzenberg, having changed her name after a previous marriage in Romania.
